Anthony Goode, Sr. is a fully licensed, professional CDL driver. He has over 20 years of driving experience. Elegant Travels was founded for the sole purpose of providing reliable options of transportation to the Greater Raleigh and surrounding areas. It was during the beginning period of the country’s recent economic struggles, that Elegant Travels realized people needed options for getting to work and around town so we created transportation packages designed to fit specific needs. Elegant Travels, LLC offers great competitive rates and reliable friendly service.
Our Journey
In 2008, I launched a small car service using a 7-seater cargo van, starting with a simple idea and a willingness to meet people where they were. During the North Carolina State Fair, we set up in a Kmart parking lot where fairgoers were walking toward the entrance. We offered rides to the gate for just one dollar per person. The response was immediate. People gladly hopped in, and before long, a line stretched nearly the length of the parking lot. That moment confirmed we had tapped into a real need.
After the fair, we expanded into downtown Raleigh, building relationships with local hotels. One of our earliest partnerships came with the Red Roof Inn, where the manager welcomed us to place flyers throughout the property and began referring guests to our service for airport trips and local events. Their support helped us grow quickly and establish credibility.
At a time when using a personal vehicle for organized transportation was still uncommon, we positioned ourselves as a reliable and accessible option for visitors navigating the city. Our commitment to service and consistency allowed us to expand from one hotel to more than ten throughout downtown Raleigh.
Today, our service is recognized by hotels across the area, and what started as a simple idea in a parking lot has grown into a trusted transportation resource within the Raleigh community.
